I love a good beer festival. Who doesn’t? Typically you pay for your ticket and it’s bottoms up and no turning back. What makes it even better is food that will satisfy your beer-induced appetite and music to keep the night young. This weekend was no exception at the 16th Annual MAFIAoZA’s Music City Brewer’s Festival.
Walk of Fame Park was taken over by food, music and most importantly, brews. This year the beer bash offered two different sessions of more than 60 different breweries to choose from. There were different food vendors, like KRAVE Jerky and Burger Republic, and even a cigar smoking lounge setup by Uptown’s Smoke Shop. Plus, how could I forget the make-shift dodgeball court provided by Dodgeball2You that allowed adults to feel like kids again while winging balls at each other. The weather even got the memo for the evening – the brews were flowin’ while the breeze was blowin’. One of my favorite parts of the night was when the grass transformed into a dance floor with music spun by DJ Rod Youree. All of this effort was put towards a good cause this year. The 2017 Charity Partner of the Music City Brew Fest is Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
If you missed out on this year’s brew fest, be sure to mark your calendars for next year’s event. But more importantly, the 15th Annual Wine on the River is a little over a month away and I can guarantee you that you’re not going to want to miss this event that’s hosted on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge that boasts spectacular views of Nashville. Get your pinkies (and livers) ready to sample wines, and even some beer and spirits, from around the globe. Tickets are now available to purchase for Wine on the River.
