The other day I saw a lip color that I had to have, so naturally I drag my husband into Sephora the next time we’re at the mall and put him through the grueling exercise of looking at makeup. Luckily for him, our Sephora has a decent men’s cologne section, so sometimes he gets a respite of sniffing those out.
Anyways, I seek out the tarte section and start sampling whatever color I can get my hands on and whichever one looks like the one I’m hunting for. After trying three different colors, I settle on tarte Tartiest quick dry matte lip paint in OG. Ladies, if you’re looking for a lip color that stays throughout the day/night, I highly recommend anything in the quick dry matte lip paint! I wore it the other night and it stayed on during dinner and the rest of the evening.
During checkout, the cashier reminds me of how many Sephora Beauty Insider points I’ve racked up and lucky me, there’s a tarte gift up for grabs and I snag that for a cool 500 points. Included in the tarte Skin Heroes Discovery Set is a sample of marajuca C-Brighter eye treatment, a sample of brighter days highlighting moisturizer, sample of lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara, sample of a drink of H2O hydrating boost moisturizer and tarteguard 20 tinted moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen. (Check out my previous blog post on tarteguard 20 tinted moisturizer here.) I love this gift sets, because like I’ve mentioned before, it gives you a chance to sample the product without making the commitment to purchasing a full size product.
Also included in this post are other tarte products that I’ve been meaning to post about, like the tarte gifted Amazonian clay smart mascara and the tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15.
I’ve been wearing the tarte gifted Amazonian clay mascara for probably 6 years, and I’ve never thought about searching for another brand. Like I’ve mentioned before about tarte products, they’re formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates. This mascara’s a reparative and volumizing mascara infused with Amazonian clay. I don’t feel like I need to wear fake eyelashes anymore because of this mascara.
I’ve recently switched to the Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation from a BB cream and I’m loving it! It feels lightweight but gives the full coverage that I’m looking for, and I could probably even wear it without the matte powder I wear on top for more coverage. Like all tarte cosmetics, this foundation improves the skin while wearing it, and masks any redness, dark spots, and uneven skin tone while hiding the look of pores and fine lines.
I wish I could have it all, but stay tuned, because I’m sure I’ll be writing another post soon about my latest tarte purchase!
