Set the atmosphere this Thanksgiving with a themed tablescape. It might seem like a daunting task, but I’m going to make it simple with a few easy tips. Plus, I’m going to tell you where you can get all of these items in just one stop.
Choose a Theme
There’s so much you can do when it comes to a Thanksgiving tablescape. There are some traditional ideas of having the cornucopia at the center of the table, or there’s the option of doing something more modern.
Whatever you decide, don’t over-complicate it. Going with a simple theme will not only make it easier on yourself, but your guests will appreciate the effort you put into setting the festive theme.
Lay Down Linens
Next, put down a tablecloth and/or placemats. These cute and festive placemats from Macy’s new Backstage area are perfect for a Thanksgiving tablescape. They’re a neutral pattern, so it lets you add whatever color you want to the table.
Add Dishes & Silverware
Now it’s time to add your plates and silverware. I went with the white Hotel Collection plates from Macy’s. These are great for any occasion because they go with whatever color you choose for your tablescape.
Final Touches
Adding some final touches, like these orange pumpkin bowls, will really dress up the table. As a matter of fact, adding name tags, candles, or other finishing touches will help complete the overall look. Lastly, switching out some decorations or adding a festive wall hanging adds a final festive touch.
Shopping the new Macy’s Backstage area made putting this Thanksgiving tablescape together easy. Macy’s Backstage shop is its off-price but on-trend store. According to a Macy’s press release, “Macy’s Backstage offers fashion-loving customers another way to shop at their favorite store by providing a store-within-store shopping experience specifically designed for the savvy and cost-conscious shopper who enjoys finding on-trend fashion at a great price and shops often.”
