After living in Nashville for three years, I’m still exploring new places that I’ve never been. Take Radnor Lake – I’ve been meaning to get out there, but it always seems like something else comes up and I never make it out to the park. Finally this past week I got a little extra time in my schedule for a hike. I know I don’t get out and hike/bike/etc. enough, so it was nice to get some fresh air and reflect.
Hiking reminded me that I need to take time for myself, and put my needs first every once in a while. My hike this past week allowed me to clear my head and think about some things that I’ve been stressed about, and also to look ahead at some of my goals.
While I was out at Radnor Lake, I did get chance to take some picture and explore a couple of the trails. I recommend the walk around the lake and a trip up to the aviary. Next time, I plan on hiking some of the more uphill trails.
Exploring nature is just another way to be active and get exercise. Check out my three-part Spring Cleaning posts some other ways that I stay active, eat clean and take care of my skin.
