I’m starting to like this “try a new restaurant every week” that my husband and I have fallen into the habit of as of late. This weekend we tried out Five Points Pizza in East Nashville and were thoroughly impressed.
We had initially planned on trying a different pizza joint, but when we drove by the line was out the door. So we opted for our second choice that did not disappoint. When we pulled up to Five Points Pizza, there was a crowd out front – the establishment offers a sit-down/dine-in experience, as well as walk-up service to order a slice or whole pie to go. So my husband and I took our chances at the dine-in side where we were told that it was an hour-and-a-half wait, but the bar was open seating. After only five minutes of hanging out in the bar area, two bar stools opened up and we were seated ordering drinks.
Our bartender, Cain (shoutout!), was exceptional with his service and made some great menu recommendations. They offer New York Style Pizza by the slice served up on paper plates and whole pies. I can honestly say that Five Points Pizza is going to be our go-to pizza place.
Another weekend first was our biking adventure at Percy Warner Park. I can honestly say I really enjoyed biking and will hopefully become a regular because I like mixing up how I workout. However, I’ll leave some of those steep hills to the Tour de France pros.
