When we thinking of personal styling appointments, we often think they’re just something for women. However, Macy’s offers appointments for both men and women. My husband, Kevin, and I took advantage of this opportunity, in partnership with Macy’s, to share more about the experience.
The In-Store Styling Experience
We first met with Christ Keaton from the Macy’s Style Men’s Department. Chris asked Kevin what he was shopping for and about his style. After taking the time to learn more about each of us, Chris took us to shop for shirts first.
He told Kevin what kind of shirts he thinks would fit him best. Kevin selected the shirts in the style and colors that he liked. Next, we went to the pants, and again, Kevin chose what pants he knew would fit for his dress attire.
Then we continued to check out items on Kevin’s mental list that he had made before we got to Macy’s. He knew that he wanted nice pants to wear to work, a new sweater, a vest, and shoes.
We were able to score the rest of the items and even explore the store without feeling any pressure to purchase anything. Chris was great at offering his advice, but not making you feel pressured to purchase anything.
Kevin’s Take on the Men’s Styling Appointment
My experience at Macy’s was second to none! The help direction and guidance from Chris Keaton was absolutely outstanding. He gave me his insights and also took into consideration my personal preferences!! He pointed me in the right direction in terms of fit, brand, and of course, cost.
Between the Johnston and Murphy shoes, Columbia socks, Dockers pants, Alfani shirts, and Hawke & Co. vest, I am absolutely set for whatever life throws at me!!! This is definitely an upgrade for me and my office attire. Macy’s has so much selection and such great deals you would be hard-pressed to go anywhere else.
Shop Kevin’s Outfits
Guys are for sure stepping up their style game nowadays, and I’m proud to say that Kevin puts together (most) of his outfits on his own. However, he will ask for my opinion from time to time. ☺︎
Guys can use this as a guideline for putting together outfits, and especially when it comes to layering.
The vest is very versatile, and so is the sweater.
