A simple knock at the door opens up one of Germantown’s newest hangouts. Super secret like the speakeasies of the 1920s, Minerva Avenue offers that same vibe, blended with sound of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Craft cocktails are carefully concocted by some of the city’s most knowledgeable bartenders (like Michael and Megan). Menus are served up in VHS cases and are cleverly named after well-known movies. My favorites were To Infinity and Beyond (Toy Story) and She’s Your Queen to Be (Coming to America).
Also offered on the menu are some light, finger food options. Freshly popped popcorn is available for snacking ranging in flavors from ranch and cheddar to hot curry. Principal Cigars are available on the bar for purchase as well.
Minerva Avenue has a spacious patio with cabanas for parties of four or more. Inside offers booths and a bar – a great place to cool off from the summer heat.
Thanks to Minerva Avenue and Blogger Xchange for a sneak peek and a fun night! The craft cocktail bar and speakeasy officially opens September 7th.
