Whether you’re gearing up for spring break or vacation, one essential item you need is a reliable suitcase. I know firsthand how important that is, and I’ve done my research on affordable luggage options.
It’s not only important what you pack for your trip, but also what you pack it in. Below you’ll find some of my favorite pieces of luggage.
My First Affordable Luggage Choice
The line from the movie, Your Place or Mine comes to mind when I think of this suitcase. “Spinner” luggage far outweighs rolling suitcases nowadays. I’ve known for a while now that I wanted to snag a spinner suitcase, so when I saw the deal on this Samsonite Hardside Spinner, it was a win-win.
First off – it’s light compared to my previous suitcase. Now with airline companies cracking down on checked bag weight, this spinner was great. It’s also very spacious on the inside and worked wonderfully when Kevin and I traveled to Cabo and Florida recently. As a matter of fact, we were able to share the suitcase.
The other features that I especially love are the expandable sides and the locking mechanism. Plus, honestly, it was fun to “roll” this suitcase in the different way that we’re used to.
Additional features from Macy’s.com (my partner on this purchase):
- Weight: 10.4 lbs
- TSA-approved lock panel
- Quiet-rolling dual spinner wheels offer effortless maneuverability
- Self-retracting side carry handles stay flush to the case to protect against damage
- Expandable by 1.0″
- Ergonomic pull handle features a slide-out privacy ID compartment at its base
- Spacious, integrated WetPak™ pocket keeps liquids and toiletries contained
- Large mesh pocket offers organized storage
