With Easter weekend nearly upon us, it’s time to start thinking about an outfit, if you haven’t already. I love when Easter rolls around because it makes me feel like Spring’s officially here, and it’s a great time to let your floral prints bloom and bright colors shine. We all want to celebrate in style this weekend, whether we’re meeting with friends and/or family, so I’ve put together some ideas that’ll help you do just that.
I LOVE this dress! The flattering silhouette allows you still feel sexy without going overboard. Throw a sweater of jacket on for church, but still look trendy with the teal and blue florals throughout. Plus, the straps and slit add a great final touch.
Sticking with the floral theme, if pants are more your speed, then I suggest a floral-print pant. These David Bitton Buffalo pants are soft and have a stretchy waistband that’s forgiving if you want to eat a little extra and not feel guilty about it. Plus, it’s easy to add a pop of color, whether it be your shirt or shoes, because these pants have a variety of colors that makes them easy to wear with just about anything.
Yellow (like I’ve mentioned before) is a popular color for Spring. I’ve been seeing a lot of mustard yellow in a romper/maxi romper. Plus nothing says Easter like lace and yellow.
Royal blue’s one of my go to colors – especially when black’s a little too much for the occasion.
Lastly, I think that Easter’s a perfect time to wear white. I know the age old rule is,”no white before Memorial Day,” but I think what white represents is a clean and fresh start. Like I mentioned before, if you’re not comfortable or a fan of wearing white, try off white or a light pink.
Hats are acceptable and fashionable to wear for Easter. My favorite designer and milliner is Christine A. Moore of CAM Hats NYC. She’s known for her horse racing style hats, but her hats can be worn for other occasions. I personally love the Sprite hat for the colors and it’s not over the top. They can be found locally at Gus Mayer in Green Hills.
